Terms and conditions

These terms govern your use of the We Want To Rent website, mobile app and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.

The Service is currently offered as a beta. It helps groups organise a rental search; it is not a letting agent, property portal, broker, legal adviser or financial adviser.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to use the Service.

Give us accurate account information, keep your sign-in methods secure and tell us promptly if you believe somebody else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it resulted from our failure to protect the Service.

You can create rent hunts, save links, type in property details, upload private photos or videos, place map pins and organise viewings. You bring the listing links and information. For recognised Rightmove and OpenRent links, the Service may read the public page once and save only its displayed address and map coordinates; other listing content is not automatically imported.

The Service is free during beta. If we introduce paid features, we will explain the price and ask you to agree before charging you.

You keep ownership of the information, notes, images, videos and messages you add. You give us a limited permission to host, copy, process and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service.

Only upload or share content you are entitled to use. Do not add sensitive information that is not needed for your rental search. Content saved to a shared hunt is visible to the members of its team.

Team members can see and change shared hunt information. Be thoughtful about whom you invite and remove access when it is no longer appropriate. An invitation link is intended for its recipient and should not be published.

We are not responsible for decisions or changes made by another team member whom you or your team invited, but we will apply the access controls described in the Service.

You must not use the Service to:

• break the law, infringe another person’s rights or facilitate discrimination;
• harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate another person;
• upload malware or content designed to disrupt or compromise the Service;
• probe security, bypass access controls or access another team’s information; or
• resell, reverse engineer or place an unreasonable load on the Service.

Links, map data, property descriptions and messages may come from third parties. We do not own, endorse or verify them, and a saved property may be inaccurate, unavailable or fraudulent. Check important details directly with the landlord, agent or relevant professional before paying money or making a decision.

Your use of a third-party website or service is also subject to that provider’s own terms.

We work to keep the Service available and your information safe, but a beta service can change, contain errors or be interrupted. We may add, remove or alter features and may suspend access for maintenance, security or legal reasons.

If a change materially reduces the Service, we will try to give reasonable notice where practical. You should keep a separate copy of information you cannot afford to lose.

You can stop using the Service at any time. To request account and data deletion, email us from the address on your account at [email protected].

We may restrict or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, threatens the Service or other users, or must be closed to comply with law. Where appropriate, we will tell you why and give you a chance to appeal.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to that, we are not responsible for rental decisions, third-party listings or services, the conduct of landlords, agents or team members, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using the Service. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial rental searching.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available where you live.

We may update these terms as the Service develops or the law changes. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where reasonably possible.
