Local rental market

This location covers several rental-market areas. Each is shown separately; no combined average or listing comparison is made.

Match basis: area constituents. Postcode geography · Scottish BRMA boundaries

Area context is not a property valuation or evidence of overcharging. PIPR describes rental stock, including existing tenancies; an advertised listing is an asking rent. Size, condition, amenities and tenancy dates may differ. Bedroom and property-type figures are separate series and are never combined.

Collection differs across nations: England and Wales mainly use achieved rents; Northern Ireland uses newly advertised rents; Scottish data historically focused on advertised new lets, with achieved rents increasingly included. The latest two UK months are provisional under ONS methodology. Source markers [p] and [r], where supplied, are distinct from revisions detected between imports. ONS methodology.

Water & sewerage

These companies may serve addresses in the wider HA postcode area. This is an area-level suggestion: confirm the full address before opening an account.

Water and sewerage

Thames Water

Supplies water and takes waste water across London and the Thames Valley. It is the largest water company in the UK by number of customers. In outer London and the home counties the taps are often supplied by Affinity Water or SES Water while Thames Water still handles the sewerage.

Thames Water official website
Drinking water only

Affinity Water

Supplies drinking water to parts of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Surrey and north-west London. It does not take waste water away, so a second company — usually Thames Water, Anglian Water or Southern Water — handles sewerage and often bills for both.

Supplier boundaries can split a district, and drinking water and sewerage may come from different companies. Check your address with Water UK
